DISCOVERING RIMINI
Think of Rimini and you picture the beach, sun and fun. Especially in summertime. To debunk this myth and show organisers the places and experiences that can enhance and give added value to their social events in every season, we took on board MZ Events agency’s request to host their fam trip for a team networking session. We grabbed the chance to take them on an adventure to discover the lesser-known side of the destination. Here’s how it played out.
BE INSPIRED BY A LOCATION THAT OFFERS MUCH MORE THAN THE BEACH
Two days, July 11 and 12 in Rimini. It kicked off on home ground with a tour of the rooms and spaces of the Palacongressi, followed by a cooking demo exalting the famous romagnola tradition and giving guests the chance to get stuck in, making and tasting a piadina under the watchful eye of the chef from Summertrade, IEG’s catering partner. The group then boarded a bus and moved inland, not far from the Riviera, where the backdrop changed and they found themselves admiring fortresses and castles, surrounded by the lush green hills of Rimini and all its colours and flovours.

The Rimini experience continued with a dinner in Borgo San Giuliano, a characteristic location for organising social eating experiences or picnics in the many open air eateries near the centuries-old Tiberius Bridge.
HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL TOURS – SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
Federico Fellini has been dedicated a diffused museum: works of the world-renowned film director are proposed in the CastelSismondo, restored to its former glory both inside and out. The journey continues inside the Fulgor Cinema, with interactive itineraries, and then moves outside to Piazza dei sogni, a perfect space for holding outdoor events.
The historical cultural journey continues with the treasures of the Malatesta Temple, then on to the Galli Theatre where prose and music come alive on stage. Having been abandoned for several years, Grifone café, on the 1st floor of the theatre which faces onto the main square, is a stunning location for conventions, dinners and small exhibitions. And everything is within 1.5 km walking distance from the Palacongressi.
