"What’s cooking?" is one of the creative projects connected to gastronomy proposed by EXPI agency of Cesena which involved the organisation of a cooking competition with a format inspired by the well-known TV programme, "Masterchef".

22 kitchen stations were set up in one section of sala della Piazza inside Palacongressi in Rimini, where nearly all 200 employees were divided into teams and had to cook dishes from a menu which they then shared at lunch, judged by an "internal" panel. The same room also hosted 22 tables where they food was eaten and the stage where the winning team was awarded.

Everything was prepared under the watchful eye of two professional chefs, Francesco Aquila, winner of the 10th edition of Masterchef and Cristian Pratelli, Executive Chef of Summertrade, our catering partner who followed all the organisation of the event, providing utensils, ingredients and everything that skilled chefs could possibly need to cook dishes to the best of their ability!

The agency's angle

"Expì is a company specialised in the planning and organisation of customised and tailor-made Team Building activities for companies wishing to have some carefree fun with a training slant.

In this particular case, our challenge was to involve a significant number of people in an incentive event which, focusing on the power of cooking as a metaphor for the corporate environment, left some room for the fun, enthusiasm and spontaneity of its participants, to consolidate the value of team spirit, encourage communication and mutual knowledge and create a common feeling of belonging.

To sum up the event, we could say that amidst surprises, unexpected happenings and looks of amazement, all the teams contributed to the success of the event, demonstrating enthusiasm, collaboration, participation and synergy. Winning elements in a group working towards a common goal."
