Teddy Group, the major Rimini company famous worldwide for its fast fashion, chose to organise "Teddy Happening 2020", its traditional end-of-year meeting with all its collaborators at the Palacongressi in digital format. Everything ran smoothly, in complete safety and was greatly appreciated by all the participants.

Why did you decide to go ahead with your convention at the Palacongressi in such challenging times?

"We’ve been organising Teddy Happening for our employees for years now at the Palacongressi in Rimini, involving about 1,000 participants. This year we thought it more important than ever to maintain this tradition, even if it was in a new and different way, so that employees didn’t miss out on a special moment of reflection, sharing of contents and results".

Did the digital format ensure all your needs were met?

"The experience was more than satisfactory: our staff worked in full synergy with the Palacongressi staff, discussing the possible solutions best suited to this new format and we made the “brave” choice of the live event to give our audience an idea of ​​greater presence, despite the fact that it was a digital event. We are extremely satisfied with the outcome. The participants (who thanks to the digital development numbered 2,000 against the 1,000 who usually participate live) were pleased and they felt involved. I’d say they paid even greater attention to the contents proposed thanks to the way the convention was set up".

How did your way of communicating change on this particular occasion compared to the past editions?

"I deal with Corporate Communication within the Teddy Group. Teddy is a multinational company with a family heart and make-up, based on direct contact. We had to radically change the way we communicate with employees, since Teddy Happening is the annual appointment that everyone eagerly waits for to meet up, exchange ideas and even spend time together. Transforming this event into a digital convention meant involving the participants more before the event itself with questions on the topics which were then addressed during the event, to give everyone the opportunity to participate, and to feel more involved, even if we couldn’t see them all in person".
