Grand Orient of Italy - the courage of ideas, the consistency of actions

From April 10 to 12Palacongressi di Rimini will once again play host to the annual event of the Grand Orient of Italy, the most important Italian Masonic Institution. Among the many events lined up are two talk shows dedicated to mankind, to the changes in our era and to the stories of prestigious Italians. Among the guests of the Grand Lodge 2015 are MEPRenato Soru and Fabrizio Santos, the doctor from Catania who survived Ebola. It will be the official debut of Fism, "Italian Federation of Masonic Solidarity" with the presentation of its activities and humanitarian projects for the vulnerable and those risk of social exclusion.

As is tradition, the highlight of the event will be on the afternoon of the opening day (Friday, April 10, at 5pm) with the speech of the Grand Master, Stefano Bisi, who will speak in theMasonic temple set up in the Palacongressi, and which, for the occasion, will be accessible to non-Masons. Another respected tradition is that dedicated to music, with the children's choir "Le Verdi Note" and on Saturday, April 11, at 8pm, Mozart will be interpreted by the Symphony Orchestra City of Arezzo, directed by Paolo Belloli, and solo pianist Francesco Attesti.
 
Over the three days, there will be an intense programme of cultural events and roundtable talks, including an exhibition dedicated to Garibaldi, with a selection of memorabilia belonging to the Hero of Two Worlds, part of the large collection which belonged to Bettino Craxi. The exhibition, organised by the Allori Foundation, will even include the symbolic red jacket worn by General Garibaldi.
 
There will room for reflection on the 2015 27th Eurispes Italy Report, Institute of Political, Economic and Social Studies founded and chaired by Gian Maria Fara, who will be a guest of the Grand Lodge to illustrate the research. Fara will also intervene in the talk "Change" scheduled in the morning session (10:30) on the first day of work at the Palacongressi.
