Rotary Distretto 2072: International appointment at the Palacongressi
Major issues related to health and our cultural and environmental heritage will be at the heart of the district congress to be held on 18 and 19 June at the Palacongressi di Rimini. Governor Paolo Pasini will reveal some of the themes included and the names of the prestigious guests that will take part in what is the most important appointment in the Rotary's annual calendar.
Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini, will speak on the cultural heritage of our country, also speaking will be Senator for life, Elena Cattaneo, Director of the laboratory, Stem Cell Biology and Pharmacology of Neurodegenerative Disease which takes part, alongside 15 other research labs, in the European project NeuroStemcell, of which Ms. Cattaneo is the coordinator and Nicoletta Previsani, coordinator of the WHO Global Eradication polio initiative, will present the activity underway in the fight against polio sustained by Rotary, WHO and the Gates Foundation.
Also on the programme are district Global Grants and the activity of Italian and Rotary doctors carrying out initiatives and projects in Nigeria, Zambia and Nepal, with particularly focus on young people, disability and polio.
