Rimini students at the Critical Care Nursing Congress
From 9-11 November 2016, Rimini's Palacongressi will hold the 35th National Aniarti Congress - the 35°National Critical Care Nursing Association - entitled “We Care, assisting others”.
As in the previous Aniarti congresses, it will be an "open doors" event, an opportunity for the public to hear talks on Nursing, Healthcare and health. From 9am to 1pm, over 200 students from a Aurelio Bertola Middle School in Rimini will take part in a “Mass training” mini-course on the basic resuscitation techniques, in conjunction with a project called “Kids save lives”, endorsed by the WHO.
ANIARTI will contribute to the info campaign about sudden cardiac death and the use of emergency-urgency equipment. This campaign is part of an initiative run by the European Parliament and by the Ministry of Health, to raise awareness of the proper use of emergency equipment and improving the knowledge and education of citizens and health professionals as regards CPR.
Teaching these young people the basic CPR techniques may very well contribute to the reduction of death by cardiac arrest.
ANIARTI is taking part in the scheme, “VIVA!2016” organised by the Italian Resuscitation Council, endorsed by the following institutions: ANCI(the National Association of Italian City Councils), the Regions and Provinces, CONI (the National Olympic Committee), the Ministry of Defence, the State Police and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
The purpose of the event is to teach students the basic CPR techniques, encouraging them to share this newfound knowledge with their families and friends.
