300 thousand passengers at Rimini Fellini airport in 2018
In 2018, approximately 300 thousand passengers travelled to Federico Fellini airport. For the coming year, according to the management company Airiminum, the number of scheduled flights will increase, with the aim of transforming the traffic of the Rimini and San Marino airport from seasonal charters to scheduled flights.
By virtue of agreements with some important airlines such as Ryanair, Lufthansa, Rossiya - Aeroflot, Ural Airlines and Albawings, Rimini aims to plan regular flights also in winter.
«This year, the reinforcement of the business model launched in 2018 will be even more pronounced with the addition of extra scheduled flights and new destinations - pointed out Leonardo Corbucci, CEO of Airiminum - and in the next coming season, flights from the Russian regional airports that had moved to Bologna will return to Rimini. With the new flights announced by Ryanair (London), SkyUp (Ukraine), Lufthansa (Munich), and in light of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Saint Petersburg Tourist Committee signed last October, we look forward to further double-digit growth in commercial traffic in 2019".
