The stars of Romagna

Be it by the sea or in the hills, there's no question about it,Rimini offers great food. There's nothing new about that, but it's good to know that it has been reconfirmed this year by the "bible" for gourmets and foodies: the “Michelin” guide

Romagna reconfirms its restaurants and "stellar" chefs as a major element of attraction for tourists, travellers and natives, who in the range of just a few kilometres, can find restaurants where the history and tradition of local food provide a feast for the senses. An excellent starting point for the tour is “Guido”, headed by chefGianpaolo Raschi. Situated right on the beach, it specialises in fish cuisine, creativity and a red risotto, the traditional dish of the fishermen, not to be missed. Moving a few kilometres north there are two more stars. Located on Cesenatico's port canal designed by Leonardo da Vinci, you can dine at “Buca”, run by Stefano Bartolini, who serves what is probably the best fish this side of the Adriatic, and at “Magnolia”, with exquisite recipes and dishes by Alberto Faccani. At the summit of Mount Titan, in a breath-taking setting, is “Righi”, with chef Luigi Sartini's harmonious balance of tradition and creativity in meat and fish dishes from Montefeltro and Romagna. Heading inland to Pennabilli, we find another star-studded restaurant, “Piastrino”, run by chef Riccardo Agostini. A picturesque farmhouse surrounded by a kitchen garden where the chef grows his precious ingredients. Another reconfirmed star for Piergiorgio Parini's “L’osteria del povero diavolo" di Torriana. The cappelletti in broth served here are well worth the winding journey to the top of this hill overlooking the Marecchia valley.
