Food for good, from meetings to solidarity

The Federcongressi&eventi communication campaign has kicked off. The Italian meeting industry association is a staunch advocate of Food for Good, from meetings to solidarity, the initiative in collaboration with the Onlus Banco Alimentare (Food Bank) and Equoevento, recovering and preserving excess food during events, and redistributing it to charitable orgainsations.

The campaign bears the signature of graphic designer Marco Zauli from Essential and includes 9 professionals of the congress industry, catering sector, business and scientific associations and institutions, lending their image to support the project.

"All's well that doesn't end bad", is the campaign slogan, a play on words that gets the message across loud and clear -  excess food correctly preserved reduces waste and is regenerated as a resource with added value.

The Palacongressi di Rimini, in collaboration with Summertrade, IEG's catering partner, and thanks to the awareness shown by its clients, since 2015 has donated over 22,000 meals and 498 kg of bread and fruit to Rimini's Sant'Antonio soup kitchen.

Both Palacongressi and Summertrade, represented by Stefania Agostini, IEG Event & Conference Director and Cristian Pratelli, Chef Summertrade, endorse the communication campaign.
