Covid-19: CONFERENCES AND EVENTS IN ABSOLUTE SAFETY, HERE IS THE #SAFEBUSINESS PROJECT BY ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP. SEROLOGICAL SCREENING ALSO CONFIRMED FOR ALL THE GROUP'S EMPLOYEES

Rimini, 14 May 2020 - Conferences and events in absolute safety, in full compliance with rules and protocols, protecting the health of companies and visitors. The Event & Conference division of Italian Exhibition Group is ready, thanks to the #SAFEBUSINESS by IEG project, launched by IEG Italian Exhibition Group, the trade fair and congress organiser with head offices in Rimini and operative in Vicenza, Milan, Brescia, Rome, Arezzo and Naples, as well as subsidiaries in China, the United States and Dubai.

Listed on the Italian stock exchange, IEG has devised this plan thanks to a working group alongside its outfitting and catering companies, technicians and international operators. The project (full publishable documentation and infographics can be downloaded from this link (https://www.iegexpo.it/it/safebusiness) focuses on every phase in the trade show and conference experience.

"We have worked on this plan," says Corrado Peraboni, CEO of IEG, "with the aim of providing a complete and reliable answer for our customers and the international public which, now more than ever, is asking us to be able to count on trade shows and conferences to re-start the industry. We have done so in line with the anti-Covid-19 health regulations and documents drafted by AEFI, FEDERCONGRESSI, UFI and EMECA, which I would like to thank for their constant presence regarding the question concerned."

The project provides over fifty guidelines with a rigorous regulatory and organisational protocol upstream.

As regards the congress industry - and therefore our venues in Rimini (Palacongressi and Fiera) and Vicenza (ViCC) - there will be a handbook illustrating everything from the integration of digital technology, multimedia production and live streaming of events, to centralised digital tracking for flow management, face mask distribution and disinfectant dispensers throughout the venues, temperature checks carried out by specialised personnel with thermo scanners at the entrance, and all staff will undergo training on safety procedures and standards. Each event will be scheduled according to venue capacity in line with physical distancing laws. Federcongressi and the conference promoter will work together to ensure general safety protocols and the industry's best practices are enforced and respected. Apps will be available providing all Covid19 initiatives and provisions and for monitoring entrances to the rooms also for CME purposes and related technical services.

The entire outfitting chain will be designed and managed in safety, with the continuous sanitisation of all areas, rooms and restrooms, and hygienisation of air conditioning filters.

Catering: temperature scanning for all workers, gloves, masks, and single-use aprons, payments via skip-the-line app, single-portion lunch and coffee boxes, coded delivery to stands.

A strict crisis management protocol has been put in place for how to act in the presence of suspected cases. IEG employees and event staff will be trained to ensure the safe execution of tasks, the use of PPE, compliance with strict procedures for personal hygiene and disinfection, and physical distancing.

And on the subject of employees, the president of Italian Exhibition Group, Lorenzo Cagnoni has announced that the company has decided to carry out mass serological screening, on a voluntary basis: “We want to protect our collaborators, the employees in our subsidiaries and our entire relational network. As we operate in different regions, we will apply the present and future protocols and have already submitted a request to the Emilia Romagna Region".
