Legislative Decree 196/03 - Privacy Protection Consent
Pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Italian Personal Data Protection Code), Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A. (IEG) informs its clients that the personal data provided, or otherwise acquired within the sphere of IEG's activities, shall be treated in accordance with the aforementioned Code.
The processing of such data, carried out by means of computer, manual tools, or on paper has the following purposes:
1. Fulfillment of contractual and legal obligations related to the distribution of newsletters, promotional, informative or marketing messages to the user, regarding the event/convention/congress held at the venues of Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A.
2. Profiling, the transmission of commercial, promotional information concerning the activities of Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A., as well as for additional marketing purposes (e.g. analysis and market surveys).
The processing of personal data means the collection, registration, organization, storage, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, reclassification of data by homogeneous economic categories, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, distribution. The duration of the processing shall be proportionate to the purposes pursued from time to time.
The data is provided to the Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A. on a purely optional basis. However, if - as is the case for those receiving the newsletters - the data in question must be handled by Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A. in order to comply with a regulatory or contractual obligation, and to provide the person concerned with the services or information required for the purpose (see point 1). Failure on your part to provide the same data would make it impossible for Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A. to provide the contractual service requested by you and/or to fulfil the legal obligations arising from the establishment of the relationship with the same.
Furthermore, consent to process the data for the purposes of point 1 is never necessary (as Article 24 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 relieves Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A. of such an obligation). Please note that consent is an entirely different concept to actually supplying data, even if in actual fact, whoever supplies data, having read this document, implicitly consents that the information may be used.
Consent is optional if data is processed for the purposes set out in point 2, and failure to grant consent any lack of consent shall not imply the non-execution of the service requested by the interested party, it will however prevent Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A from processing the data (for example using an email address or cellular number to send promotional messages).
The data collected for the purposes indicated in point 1 may be forwarded to: companies that, on behalf of Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A., will provide the management and maintenance service of IT systems and databases, companies that have been awarded contracts/assignments on behalf of Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A. to render services essential for the participation or connected to it.
Any data processing by said subjects shall take place for the same purposes and in the same manner as those described above.
Please also note that art. 7 of this Code acknowledges the numerous rights of the interested party, including the right to obtain information regarding the existence of data that concerns them and communication of the same in intelligible form, to cancel, transform into anonymous form or block such information, to update, correct or if needed, to integrate and receive confirmation that said operations were communicated to all those who have received the data, to object for legitimate reasons to the processing of said data, even if related to collection purposes, and to object processing for marketing purposes (profiling, marketing communications, market surveys and analyses).
