PERL_ARTE

Following the success of the previous editions that hosted the works of Luca Giovagnoli and Maria Luisa Tadei, art returns to the Palacongressi in Rimini. The new instalment in the "PERL_ARTE" series of exhibitions features the works of Davide Conti*, visionary photographer or, as he likes to call himself, "irregular modern painter" from March 12th, till September 30th 2022.

Yet another opportunity for the Palacongressi to reaffirm its symbiosis with the city by opening its doors and spaces to the public, showing them just how fundamental this venue is in terms of culture, exchanges of knowledge and affiliations, and of the Rimini economy.

The choice of an artist such as Davide Conti stems from the desire to underline the concept of courage. On the walls of the Convivio space, the site of the exhibition, we will see strong and provocative works that symbolize the courage and energy of congress activities after the period marked by the pandemic.

The new chapter in “PERL_ARTE - Exhibits at the Palacongressi di Rimini” begins on March 12, till 30th September 2022 at the Convivio space, in via della Fiera 23. The exhibition is curated by Matteo Sormani / Art Preview / Augeo Art Space.

* DAVIDE CONTI / brief bio

Davide was born in 1970 in Bologna where he attended the Art Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in painting in 1993. In 1991 he won a scholarship to the Venturoli Art School, where he remained until 1998. Parallel to his artistic activity, he began to develop his passion for graphic design working on editorial design for a well-known publishing house. Having been fascinated by photography from an early age, Davide then made it an integral part of his professional and artistic career.

His works are a combination of constant contamination between painting, figurative arts, graphic design and photography. He recently relocated his work base to Misano Adriatico, but without forgetting his hometown Bologna. His work has been displayed in many collective and solo exhibitions.
